Resources for the Deferred Resignation Offer

IMPORTANT UPDATE: OPM has closed the program to new resignations.

The hold has been lifted on the Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM’s) deferred resignation offer for federal employees. In light of the judge’s decision, OPM has now closed the program to new resignations. Any resignations received after 7:20pm ET, February 12, 2025, will not be accepted.

This special section provides information and insights to help you make informed decisions about your pending decision on the offer that OPM released on 1/28 (originally with a decision date of 2/6).  Please also see OPM’s FAQs that continue to be updated. We’re here to serve you and are diligently tracking updates and preparing to respond as new information evolves.
